Bruce Lee was one of the great martial artists. A great guy, but he was a little guy. I always teased him, I said you had short arms and couldn't reach out and get the food to get big and good looking like me. When I first met him the stunt coordinator on the show called Green Horn. He said tease him a bit because he wants to be the star of all the fight scenes. So as a joke I picked him up over my shoulders. He weighed about one hundred and thirty, and I was about one hundred and eighty five in the prime of my life. And he said put me down or ill kill you. So I ran around a little bit and then we sat down with all the stunt guys and I had him hooked in a crutching nelson. You do it on the ground but you can also do it if a man is in a fireman's carry. And he said put me down or ill kill you. And I said if I put you down you will kill me. I'm going to hold you up forever. Then we went down and he said I demand respect. You don't ever do that to me again. He said and you come to my dojo. So I went to his dojo and he was burning incense or something like that and I have allergies. And I said all these Chinese cleaning people that do the clothes and everything, they must smell that incense and they put to much starch in the shirts. And I cant live with that. So you come to my dojo. And when he found out that I was teasing he came down, worked out with me for a little over a year. And also I taught him judo and grappling and finishing holds, and he told me some spectacular kicks that I used for years in the movies. Show business kicks, spinning and flaring. Now, somewhere around here, I lost my jump so I cant do them anymore. I think they are in the other room. Great guy, fantastic human being. Bruce Lee and his name will live forever, and when you know, you do something like Bruce Lee, his name will last forever so no matter what as far as the martial arts go.
