This video demonstrates how to drive a manual transmission car.

Alright well uh this is the gas pedal right here the one all the way to the right. the middle one is the brake pedal and the one to the far left is the clutch. The clutch is used to select the gears and to shift. Now to start a manual transmission car you have to press the clutch all the way in and then turn the key. First, second, third, fourth, fifth and if you have a sixth, sixth. Reverse is usually to the right but it could also be up here and neutral is in the middle and it’s just free. Step 1 you want to push the clutch in that’s the pedal all the way to the left. Then with the gear selector you want to put it in first then you slowly let the clutch out while adding gas then you start moving. To reverse, push the clutch in put it in reverse and it’s the same concept. When you’re coming to a stop make sure you press the clutch in and pop it into neutral and let out the clutch and you’re fine. |
