Changing the ink cartridge in a printer is a very simple process, yet many people do not know how to do it. This video demonstrates and explains how to change your printer cartridges.
How To Change Your Printer Cartridge
Step 1: Find the latch to open your printer up.
Step 2: Remove the printer cartridges one at a time by pressing them down in order to pop them out.
Step 3: Remove the new printer cartridges from their packaging, and prepare them for installation by removing the protective film on the back of the cartridge. Make sure not to touch the area that was covered by the protective film.
Step 4: When installing the new cartridges, make sure that when you go to install them you put them in the appropriate slots. They are usually color coded, but if not there will be symbols to guide you.
Step 5: Put the color cartridge into the color slot. Make sure it clicks when pushed in or else the installation wont be successful.
Step 6: Put the black ink cartridge into the black slot. Again, make sure that it clicks.
Step 7: Finally, close the latch. The installation is complete.

Hi I’m john and I’m going to show you how to change out your printer cartridge. And uh when you’re printer runs out of ink you first want to find the latch to lift and open it up. Okay so now you want to take the cartridge out and you do this by pressing down and it will pop out. There are many printers out there but this is the most basic one. So you just push it down and it will pop out. Now when you put the new cartridge in you want to remove the protecting tape. You want to remove it and do not touch it and to put it back in, you want to make sure color goes into the color slot, usually there’s symbols to tell you. And then you put it in like this and then you just pop it in. it should click like that and then get the black one and then pentagon is the pentagon and you just slide it in and then it should pop.
