Transcription Coach Kendra is an expert nutritionist and a professional trainer. And she's here to give you the body you want. Getting started with exercises is tough but coach Kendra has some great ideas to get you off the couch and get in shape. Let's get started. It's easier than you think. Slow and steady wins the race when you're trying to get into the exercise habit. I want you to keep it simple and focus on one exercise. I'm going to show you different exercises to choose from. Pick the one you like the best and commit to doing it 2-3 times. At the end of the week, reward yourself by choosing another simple exercise to add into your routine. During the 2nd week do both of your exercises 3 times. Do them one after the other so you only need to set aside 3 times during the week. At the end of the second week add a third exercise and do all three ex in a short session. Maintain a frequency of 3 ex sessions a week. Now I'm going to show you some exercises so you can get started. I have demonstrated this ex lying down but this can be done standing up. Put your hands on your stomach between your hip bones. Start to tuck your tailbone under and pull in your lower belly. Contract and release several times. Not only is this a great core toner, it also does wonders for your posture. Sitting up straight, squeeze your butt muscles so you can feel your body rise. Keep contracting and releasing until you feel it burn. This is an exercise you can do anywhere. If there is on exercise you do, this is it. Take your hand behind your head with your elbows out. Draw your opposite knee in to meet your elbow. Switch from side to side making sure you're really twisting your torso. Not only is this a great core builder it does wonder for those spare tires. Walking or running in place at a moderate pace is a great way to get into fat burning land. For a challenge, lift your hands while doing this exercise. I tell my clients to write down their goals and place it on the bathroom mirror to keep them motivated.
