Forget that the economy is in a recession, if you’re a true red, white, and blue American then you know the values of shopping when there are sales and skipping sleep to get those Jimmy Choos that you can’t afford. If you want to get more bang for your buck and get everything Black Friday is worth waking up at three a.m. for, then take these tips and tattoo them to your wrist for the day.
Instructions
Step
1
1. Build your endurance by working out a week before the big day. Do weight training (so you can carry tons of shopping bags), run on the treadmill (to outrun those housewives that all want the Martha Stewart sheets), and do some elliptical training to lose some of those pounds clinging to your gut that are only going to hold you back.
Step

2. Pick good running shoes. Find something comfortable to wear and ones that are broken in. Choose to wear clothes that are comfortable and lightweight so that you can move around faster and feel less exhausted by the end of the day.
Step
3
3. Find a partner. Whether it be your mother, daughter, or best friend, shopping on Black Friday is impossible without a partner in crime. Have someone with you who is quick on their feet, good under stress, and can fight for a good pair of Seven jeans. You need someone to help hold bags, find good deals, and to keep you encouraged throughout the day.
Step

4. Clean out your car. You’re going to need a lot of room for all of your bags at the end of the day, you might even need to make a few trips to the car to unload everything. Make sure there’s plenty of room in the trunk and backseat for your purchases so you’re not resorting to stuffing and cramming everything in.
Step

5. Pack snacks. Bring granola bars, fruit, sandwiches and water for energy throughout the day and so you don’t have to stop to buy anything. Avoid foods that are high in sugar, that will only make you energized temporarily, but then make you crash. You want natural foods that will sustain your energy and keep you going for as long as possible.
Step
6
6. Coupon cut before the big day and stuff them in a big yellow envelope. This will help you remember them in your purse and will keep everything together. If you’re really ambitious, organize them by each store.
Step

7. Bring an IPOD to listen to while you shop. If you listen to something you’d work out to then you’ll move faster and stay motivated while you look through the many racks of shirts or try on the fifteenth pair of boots you like.
Tips & Warnings
-Go to bed the night before and get plenty of rest so that you’re fully energized for the whole day.
-Don’t stop at Starbucks in the morning; bring your own coffee to save time and money.
-Never get so crazy that you push, shove, or injure other shoppers just to get what you want. Be polite and don’t become too materialistic.
