Large pores are very annoying. You tend to have oilier skin, you sweat more, your make-up doesn't apply nicely and it just doesn't look very good. Here are some ways to minimize those pores!
Large pores can appear from different reasons. Some reasons may be from squeezing blackheads and whiteheads and also with very oily skin. By squeezing and having oily skin it creates the pores to expand and stretch. The oil in your skin needs to be released and in order for it to be released your pores need to expand. It could also just be because your getting older and it's just the process everyone's skin goes through. Lastly, if you do have oily skin and try to get rid of it and therefor OVER drying your skin, that is also bad because you are drying the oil in your pores therefore expanding them.
The first, cheapest and easiest way to get rid of big pores is wiping your pores morning and night with witch astringent, either hazel or plain rubbing alcohol. These both are the cheap and will reduce the size, just make sure you apply moisturizer after wards, if you don\'t your skin will be very dry. Or if you want, you can buy any kind of astringent, every brand has it such as clean and clear, neutrogena, etc.
Try a different make-up. Liquids are usually the worst for your face because they clog your pores and your face isn\'t able to breath. Mineral powder is better because it\'s loose and it lets your face breath, especially if you have oily skin. Mineral powder will also last longer with oily skin, so you won\'t have to re-apply as much.
Also try not to touch your face. Your hands are a lot dirtier than you think. Also clean you phone, your phone is also very very dirty. Touching your face will add more dirt in your pores and clog them and then stretch them out.
If you are sweating, don\'t use your hands to wipe it off. Find a clean towel or a tissue. The best thing to use are blotting wipes. You can find these wipes at any store or at any beauty store. My favorite brand is Boscia Green Tea Blotting Linens from Sephora.
You can also try face masks and exfoliates. Try getting weekly facials to get rid of dirt. Having any face wash with vitamin C or retinol will greatly help! Grapefruit is known to tighten pores as well!
If you don\'t mind paying a bit more, go to your dermatologist and get a Microdermabrasion or Chemical Peel. Microdermabrasion removes the top layer of dead skin cells and gets rid of blackheads and makes your skin smoother. I have done it about 3 times and it really really helped my skin a lot. If you do have a lot of acne like I did, it will hurt a lot the first time, but it is well worth it, I have smooth skin now.
The Chemical Peel won\'t hurt nearly as much as the microdermabrasion. This is one of the best ways to get ride of large pores. Chemical Peels can be very expensive, it can range from 300 to almost 2000! But there are also Chemical Peel Masks that you can buy and do at home, it costs around 80 dollars unless you want to get a more advanced kit, it would then cost up to 700 dollars.
