Want to make your boyfriend or girlfriend something truly special without spending a fortune? One way to impress your loved one is by making a personal Valentines Day card!

Instructions

Things you will need:
  • White Printer Paper
  • Pink and Red Construction Paper
  • Glue Stick
  • Scissors
  • Pens
  • Old Magazines
Step
1

The first thing to do is to cut out the shape of the card. The card should look like a hear when close. In order to do this, take your red and pink contruction paper and lay them on top of each other. Then fold the paper in half. Draw a large hear that touches both sides of the paper. This is important in making the card.

Step
2

imgNow cut out the shape you drew. Remember when cutting out, not to cut out the folded edge where the heart connects. If you do this properly, you should end up with one red and one pink shape that looks like the picture on the left, when unfolded.

Step
3

Now glue the red and the pink pages together. This is so that when the card is closed it is red, and when it is pen it is pink. Make sure to glue them evenly.

Step
4

imgNow on your two white pieces of paper draw a Heart that is smaller than your card. These will be separate pieces that go on the inside of the card. Now, either hand write or type up words to describe your loved one. ie: Beautiful, Graceful, Funny, Cuddly, Romantic. Be creative and think of different things. You can make some words big and some words in cursive. A mix-match effect will look really cool. If you are printing out the words, remember that only the words that print within the heart shapes will show.

Step
5

imgNow Glue in the white pieces to the inside of your card. Make sure that the are centered.

Step
6

imgFold the Card closed, so you can make the front. Take your old magazines and cut out letters to write out a message in the front. ie. "Why do I Love You?" Remember to make it personal.
