It's so hard to figure out what to wear on a normal day, and when it rains, it becomes even harder. Here are some ways you can make practical, but fashionable, choices for a rainy day.
Things you will need:
Start with your feet. This will help you decide the rest of your outfit. If you have galoshes, you're set for the shoes. If you don't own a pair, however, there are other options. Boots of any kind are good, but they would best if they are water proof (you can get them sprayed at Nordstrom or buy a product to do so). If it's warmer out, a pair of flip flops could work.
Based on your shoes, you can plan the rest of your outfit. The best possible way to avoid the bottom of your pants from getting wet is wearing skinny jeans. They tuck into boots well and look cute with almost anything else. If you're going to be outside, wear tights under your pants and socks to keep extra warm!
On top, wear a long sleeved shirt under a cardigan. If you have a cute jacket with a hood, a rain jacket or a pea coat, don\'t hesitate to wear it on top of the cardigan.
If you don't have anything protecting your head, where a hat to avoid frizzy hair. If you know you're going to be outside for awhile, wear gloves to keep your hands warm.
Tips & Warnings
To avoid getting hat hair, take a dryer sheet and run it around the inside of the hat and a little on your hair. This will help prevent your hair from getting static-y.
