Are you annoyed seeing those yellow stains from your armpits? You'll want to do this right after you've come home from which ever a long day or work or a sweaty day at the gym. Here are some helpful hints to remove those stains
Instructions
Things you will need:
Hydrogen peroxide
White vinegar
Baking soda
Step
1
To begin with, do not use bleach for it will actually darken the spot, which are usually not from sweat, but from the antiperspirant. Also not to use hot water as it will set the stain from drying it with heat so if the stain is not moved out after the first washing, let it air dry and repeat the procedure. There are several options to using bleach to remove these stains and/or brighten your whites.
Step
2
You should immerse the area/shirt in white vinegar or a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water. Hydrogen Peroxide is a natural bleaching agent which will not add up to the discoloring like bleach will. Soak in either solution for 15-30 minutes and then wash the item normally.
Step
3
As earlier stated, do not dry the shirt in a dryer if the stain has not yet come out, repeat the process
Step
4
A paste of baking soda and water can also be spread on to the area. Let the paste dry and then wash normally.
Step
5
The new Oxy-Clean detergent works wonders. Load up a sink with water, adding 2-3 scoops of it. Soak the garment for up to 30 minutes. The stain is now vanished. It really does work.
Tips & Warnings
Avoid those antiperspirants with Aluminum as the active ingredient, because it's the one that causes stains in the first place
