| How to Increase the Speed of Your Computer |
Most computers are fairly fast when they are new, as time passes and you add more applications, visit websites where you pick up some trackers, the system slows down considerably. Believe it or not there's a way on how to get back some of that speed and you can do it on your own too. No need to hire a tech guy, just follow these simple steps and you are on your way to faster computer speed. |

| Instructions |
Step 1
Programs not being used but are running in the background can slow down your computer, learn how to find them and close them. For Windows users, open your Task Manager by holding CTRL + ALT + DEL and look at the programs running. Most of the process names are self-explanatory so you'll be able to know what specific application uses it. If the process name is unknown or unfamiliar, you can do an internet search, research the process name at your favorite search engine and it will gladly return application that uses it in its result page. |
Step 2
Make sure your computer is virus/spyware/worm/trojan-free, have a reliable anti-virus software installed. It is still better to protect your computer than to assume that virus can't get in if you don't surf or only go to trusted websites. There are a lot of these free programs. AVG, Ad-Aware, Antivir, etc.
Step 3
Free disk space, do this by going to tools/internet options/delete cookies/delete files. There are also a lot of free third-party applications that can do these all for you. Go to websites that allow you to download free software and applications like filehippo.com. |
